10.1.2   Log Settings

The parameters described here are used to configure the logging function. The settings dialog is opened choosing the Log Settings tab in the RMA Settings window.

The log settings are described in Table 100.

Description

Format

Max entries

The maximum number of displayed rows in the log window.


By default, the maximum number of rows is 300, and the minimum number is 1. The log will only contain the entries generated since the RMA has been started.

Numeric field.


Default value: 300.

Minimum log level

The minimum level of the events shown in the log window. Events more severe than this will be displayed, events less severe will be hidden.


The options available are those described in Section 10.1.3.

 

Use Persistent Log File

Check box indicating if the log should be written to file that will be retained over several RMA sessions.

Check box checked - use persistent log file.


Check box cleared - do not use persistent log file.

File name

The file name of the log file. This field is only applied if the Use Persistent Log File check box is selected.


To choose an existing file select the file browser button to the right of the field and browse to the file in question.

 

Output

Option buttons indicating the format of the log file. This field is only applied if the Use Persistent Log File check box is checked.
